When people go caravanning, sometimes they want to go well off the beaten track or many miles from civilisation. Sometimes all they need to go back to town for is fresh water. This can mean a full days trip – just for water.
We often get customers who are so thrilled that they can produce their own water thier own water from air, rather than have to interrupt their get away.
So how can you create drinking water whilst caravanning?
-
- Get a solar panel system – which you probably already have. 24V is best with an inverter. Or if you have to use 12V, you can pair it up with one of our Offgrid Power banks
- Connect an Airqua 15L or 30L unit to the solar array.
- Start collecting water from humidity.
One downside to this method is space. The 15L and 30L units can take up valuable space in your van. So many will transport in the van, then put them out under cover when they arrive at their destination.
Or in this case, one of our genius customers built his own storage space for a 30L unit on his van frame.
The 30L unit sits in a padded, protected metal box on a roller platform, so the unit can be accessed for water or rolled away and protected once underway.
