Southern parts of Australia customers Please Note:
- The unit requires humidity and will cease working at 30% or below. Ideal Conditions are 80% humidity and 30 degrees – that where it will produce 30L per day. From there it is a sliding scale.
- Temperature needs to be above 17 degrees C as well for it to work. Thus it may be ineffective in a cold climate.
- The unit can be used year round as a filtration system for tap or tank water – regardless of temp and humidity. You can add water via a supplied hose, or by filling the back/bottom tank. That is how our customers in southern Aus usually use it.
The oily and gel-like substance in AWG water:
While this is rare it can occur depending on air processed.
Our machine condenses water out of surrounding air. While condensation happens, invisible airborne oil vapor, organics and micro-spores from local environment will also be captured into the water from the air being pro-cessed.
Processing air without these contaminants is usually possible and not the norm. While it may appear clean air it all depends on the local environment that can carry these pollutants such as near a roadway, Generators etc.
The Air intake filters can block larger dust particles but cannot remove gaseous oil vapours. These pollutants will concentrate in condensates water and show as oil film or slimy gelatinous matter, especially when local air pollu-tion level is high. Generally, this will show up in the drip tray and the Carbon bag located in the lower tank.
Upon start up on a new machine an observation should be made on the carbon mat, the drip tray itself and the carbon silicon bag during first week. If signs of this, it is suggested to relocate the machine. This is why we advise placing your machine, so it processes clean air.
Suggestions: please keep machine away from exhaust/fume , kitchen stove, freezers in constant use, ladies’ hair-dressing studios and similar sources.
It is advised if this occurs relocate the machine to another area, renew filters, clean water tank & water circuit, replace Pre and Post filters.
