The Noosa EV Expo was first held in 2018 as an initiative of Zero Emissions Noosa, a not-for-profit organisation committed to the goal of zero carbon community emissions in Noosa by 2026.

This FREE community event is an introduction to e-vehicles and how they can provide more sustainable travel choices.

The expo showcases exciting electric transport options, including electric cars, e-bikes and e-scooters.

The event has grown considerably since and now blocks off an entire street! The 2023 event was held last Sunday 18 June.

So given our deep respect for what the Noosa EV Expo is working towards and any technology that helps reduce carbon emissions, it was natural for us to exhibit our Atmospheric Water Generators.

How do AWG’s help reduce carbon emissions? Our aim at Airqua is to help to reduce our reliance on plastic bottles for drinking water. Processing plastic resins and transporting plastic bottles contribute to a bottle’s carbon footprint in a major way. Estimates show that one 500-milliliter (0.53 quarts) plastic bottle of water has a total carbon footprint equal to 82.8 grams (about 3 ounces) of carbon dioxide (Reference: Sciencing.com). This is something that we can help eliminate by taking our drinking water from air and using our own bottles.

Furthermore, the power used to create water from air can be drawn from solar power sources.
